Welcome to the Advanced Addiction Psychopharmacology (AAP) Virtual Course, presented by the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP). This intensive, 14-hour online course is designed for physicians and other health care professionals who have a foundation in prescribing medication for patients with substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring psychiatric conditions, but would like a deeper understanding of these pharmacotherapies. The course features nationally recognized faculty experts.

Course Format

This course includes two components:

  • On-Demand Sessions (8 hours): Pre-recorded lectures released approximately one month prior to the live Q&A sessions. Participants are strongly encouraged to view these sessions before attending the live Q&A to get the most out of the discussion, and on-demand content will remain available after the live event for continued learning.
  • Live Q&A Sessions (6 hours): Two days of live, interactive Q&A sessions with expert faculty covering pharmacotherapy across key clinical populations and co-occurring conditions.
