Ability to purchase this activity will end on the enroll by date to be sure learners have time to complete the activity for credit prior to the expiration date. This activity is available for the designated credit until the expiration date. Once the activity expires, the content will be available for learners to view for one additional year. Access to the content will then be removed to ensure content validity in all AAAP educational activities.

Target audience

This self-assessment examination is relevant for addiction psychiatrists preparing for recertification. It may also serve as a tool for any academic and treatment professional to stay updated on the most recent trends in the addiction field.

Educational Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:  
  1. Assess decisions in common clinical situations
  2. Identify strengths/weaknesses in the practice of addiction psychiatry and develop a self-assessment program of improvement
  3. Increase knowledge of the latest findings in the field of addiction psychiatry
  4. Expand knowledge of substance use disorders

Course Features:
  • Participants may log-in and log-out at will with progress being saved until the exam closes.
  • Participants have the option of taking the exam in Learn Mode (feedback provided after answering each question) or Exam Mode (feedback provided aftering all questions).
  • To claim designated credit, test-takers must earn a minimum passing grade of at least 70% on the examination and complete the course evaluation.
  • After completing the exam and claiming credit, participants can create unlimited self-defined practice exams from the Self-Assessment content.
