Buprenorphine Microinduction 101: A New Tool for the Addiction Provider (Concurrent Workshops B)

Simon Sidelnik, M.D. Chair
Dr. Sidelnik works as the Director of Addiction Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at NYU Langone, Tisch Hospital. He completed his Adult Psychiatry training at Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital and completed fellowships in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Sidelnik has particular interests in integrating substance use disorder treatment into medical settings, management of comorbid pain and opioid use disorder, harm reduction, and caring for people who inject drugs. He also has an interest in medical education and is part of the faculty of the NYU Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry Fellowships and was recently awarded Teacher of the Year. Dr. Sidelnik has worked to educate house staff on treating patients with substance use disorders in hospital settings and has given several Grand Rounds on the topic. He serves on several hospital committees including Substance Use Disorder Committee and Pain Management Steering Committee which have worked to improve substance use disorder treatment at NYU Langone.
